Tonight at UNC-Chapel Hill’s historic Playmakers Theatre, “Kind of Blue,” by undergraduate, Kuamel Stewart will premier. “Kind of Blue” is part of what the budding playwright calls the “Companion Play Cycle.” While not exactly daunting, it’s certainly ambitious as the “Cycle” will comprise 40 plays when complete. Set in the 1940s, “Kind of Blue” “…explores how varying understandings of male roles in society affect interpersonal relationships through a provocative and gritty naturalistic drama.”
“Kind of Blue” is free (though tickets are required) and runs through Monday, February 28th.
Wishing the playwright, actors, director and the entire production team all the best.
